Fragscout needs an email address to send you an alert and a list of bottles to watch. That is close to all of it. This page says exactly what we hold, who else sees it, and how to get rid of it.

What we hold

• Your email address. From sign-up, or from Google if you signed in that way. It is where alerts go.
• What you track. The products, the price you set, and whether you want email about them.
• Alerts we sent you. What fired, at what price, and when — so we do not send the same one twice.
• What you post. Sightings you file and sightings you confirm.

Price history belongs to the product, not to you. It is read off public retailer pages and is the same rows for everyone watching that bottle.

What we do not hold

No payment details — fragscout is free and we have no card on file. No advertising or analytics trackers. We do not sell anything about you, and there is no arrangement under which anyone pays us for it.

If you signed in with Google we asked for your name, email address and profile picture and nothing else. We never see your Google password and have no access to anything else in your account.

Who else touches it

These are the companies that run parts of fragscout. Each sees only what its job needs.

• Supabase — the database and sign-in. Holds everything above.
• Vercel — serves the site. Sees requests, including IP addresses, as any web host does.
• Resend — sends the alert emails. Sees your address and what the email says.
• Trigger.dev — runs the price checks. Reaches the database to record prices and decide what to send.
• Sentry — error reports. When something breaks we get the technical detail: which product, which retailer, what failed. Not your email address.
• Google — only if you chose to sign in with it.

The community side

A sighting you post is visible to every signed-in member, along with how many others confirmed it. The board of most-watched bottles shows counts and never names anyone: a bottle only appears once at least three people are watching it, precisely so a number cannot be read back to a person.

How long

While your account exists. Delete it and your trackers, targets and alert history go with it. Sightings you posted are removed too — the confirmation counts on other people’s sightings simply go down by one.

Price history stays, because it is not about you. It is the public price of a product over time.

What you can ask for

A copy of what we hold, a correction, or deletion. Email hello@fragscout.com from the address on the account and we will do it. No form, no wait for a support tier.

Depending on where you live you may have these rights by law rather than by our goodwill — in the EU and UK under the GDPR, in California under the CCPA. We answer the same way either way.

Changes

The date at the top changes when this page does. If we start collecting something new, or hand data to someone not listed above, we will email you rather than leave you to find out.
